Eagles dominate for two wins and a draw.

Driving rain and bitter winds didn’t faze the Eagles with two wins and one draw away at Stafford.
With all but one of today’s players new to the game in September and only having one sub, it was a truly determined team performance.
Leek were quick out of the blocks with Zach gaining an early try against Wolverhampton. The U10’s showed lots of pace with further tries coming from Ryleigh, Noah, and Rowan for a dominant start from the team in driving rain conditions.
The eagles were straight into their second game against Stafford A with little recovery time and conceded a couple of tries before settling into the game. Ryleigh committed to some big tackles which allowed Leek to turn over the ball with Elmo spotting gaps and testing Stafford’s defence to get back into the game and get the draw.
The team are now naturally fitting into positions with Charlie, Rowan, and Ronan being the forward powerhouses, Noah and Zach fast on the Wing, Ryleigh and Darcie breaking through the defences in attack, and Megan and Elmo completing the backs.
The final game was against another Stafford B team; at this point the rain had stopped but replaced with a bitter wind. The players were freezing cold and wet but were relentless. Megan was quick at the restart with passes out wide to Noah, then making some great runs to gain ground. A further dominate performance from the Eagles in the final game for the second win of the day.

Rowan took ‘player of the week’ with some great rucking and a great try from an interception.
