Confident team performance for the Leopards

Leek Leopards were left licking their wounds following a double defeat last season including a large score home defeat. They were keen to test themselves against the South Cheshire team having worked so hard to improve this season.

From the off Leek looked up for the game. Dominant running which linked into Hooker for the day Goulding was well finished who with much work to do, stepped several players before powering over the line taking his first points of day.

Crewe struck back with strong running of their own but could not break the Leek defensive line. They did earn themselves a penalty which was well taken. 5-3 Leek.

The points for Crewe and Nantwich were the only ones for them for the game which was a real testament for the defence of the Leek team which was very strong throughout.

Leek added to the score via a further try by Goulding rounding a very impressive performance, a brace of tries for resident 8-man Powell and a first try for Fullbrook(6), who made several powerful breaks of the Crewe defence and was a thorn in the side to Crewe all game in Leeks defence.

The game was physical and well contested throughout with the score ending 25-3 to Leek. Great team performance that the squad, coaches and parents can be very proud of.
