Rugby mum Clare Nixon and her brilliant colleagues from the Co-operative Bank rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in to preparing the clubhouse area for the new season.

Among their tasks were staining fences and shifting two tons of pea gravel (thanks to the generous sponsorship from Huws Gray Builders Merchants, Longton) to improve the entrance footpath at the club.

This is what makes our club special – great local people making a difference.

And we’re not done yet… our annual pre-season Volunteer Day takes place on Saturday 9 August. Please come on down to lend a hand. Whether it’s painting, tidying or just making tea – we’d love to see you!
