Leek under 16s welcomed Cannock to St Edward's Park for a pre-season training game, giving both sides the opportunity to blow away the cobwebs and get their legs moving ahead of the new season.

Recent wet conditions had softened the ground sufficiently for the game to go ahead - indeed, it was raining again during warm up.

It was an excellent session, working on the new law amendments, refreshing other laws and breaking down the scrum for body positions with contested and uncontested scrums

The session included analysis, questions and answers and giving players individual feedback.

It was an enjoyable session , with both teams showing plenty of commitment and sportsmanship - a great way for Leek to get the season underway. Thanks to Cannock for travelling up and to all of our wonderful volunteers and coaches.
