With Leek securing survival at Level 8 last week they will be aiming for one more win to add a little gloss to what has been a solid first season at this level. Newcastle, promoted alongside the Moorlanders last season, unfortunately found the going tough and will return to Level 9 next year, but not without a last stand against their erstwhile opponents.

Skipper Andy Thompson names a cracking looking line-up once again. It’s the Byrne show in the backs with youngest brother Louis set to make his senior debut off the bench joining older siblings Harry and Joe. Jake Farr-Green is back in at 10 and the indefatigable Naz Narawa returns at number 8 after a dominant display last time out versus Longton.
