Coaches Joel Booth and Andy Appleyard have shuffled the deck for the visit of Blackburn to St Edward's Park tomorrow. Backs Alex Fitzmaurice-James and Jack Newton-Taylor come back into the starting lineup with Connor Bassett switching to his more familiar role on the flank.
Our visitors have improved steadily across the season and so this will be a stern test of how far our squad has come, a great game lies ahead. Kick off is at 3pm.
Our 2XV head to Wolverhampton to take on their 1XV in a crunch game. The 2s select a great blend of youth and experience with six Colts making the step up and a senior debut from the bench for Dom Moldovan. A familiar face will captain the side from 13 - welcome back Will Midwinter, all at the club wish you well.
And our 3XV will now turn East as they head to Barton for a friendly after their league opponents Carrington cried off and they were awarded a five-point walkover win. Young Zack Cooper continues at full back and their will be another senior debut, this time for Connor Clancy at 10.
The clubhouse will be open from 1pm ahead of the 1XV game. Our youngest side, the under 7 Piranhas, will be running out as mascots and post-match the club will no doubt be bouncing along to the tunes of the Black Velvet Irish Band as our St Patrick’s Day Social gets into full swing.
Huge thanks, as always, to our matchday sponsors Breeze House, match ball sponsors Hotel Rudyard, nutrition sponsors Fit Bodies and social even sponsors The Cock Inn, Leek.
Come on down, pack the park and enjoy a great afternoon and evening of rugby and music.
