Powell & Byrne picked for league team of the year

Congratulations to Leek players Oliver Powell and Joe Byrne who have been selected for the North Rugby Regional 1 North West Team of the Year.

The selection is based on votes from coaches of all 12 teams in our league and is a testament to the hard work and excellent play shown by both throughout the season.

It's great to see two Leek lads in the side which is mainly made up of players from the league’s top three sides, and, fantastic to see two home-grown talents shining through with both players having come through the Leek mini and junior system.

The North West team will take on the North East team in a season-ending fixture at Manchester Rugby Club on 22nd June for bragging rights in the North.
