Joe Newton-Taylor will lead Leek as club captain for a third season. The experienced prop steered the team to their best ever league season last time out and has been reappointed for the upcoming campaign.

He will be supported by vice captains Will Midwinter, Joe Gorman & Oli Powell.

Captaining a rugby club is about far more than wearing the armband. It’s about setting standards, leading by example, supporting your teammates and representing the values of the club both on and off the pitch.

With an exciting season ahead, this leadership group has the experience, commitment and passion to help drive the squad forward as we build on last year’s success and continue pushing for even more.

Congratulations to all four on their appointments. The hard work starts now, and we can’t wait to see this team lead the Moorlanders into another strong season.
