Leek travelled with 10 players to Cheshire with true fighting sprit on a cold foggy morning, playing 2 games.

Leek travelled with10 players to Cheshire with true fighting sprit on a cold foggy morning, playing 2 games.
Game 1.
This game got off to a great start for Leek with Noah Reaney starting off as he carried on all morning with a fantastic individual try from a good pass from team mate Harry Byrne. Congleton looked a well-drilled outfit and were quick to reply with a stunning try from the restart. Leek then fell behind yet again to a quick try off a loose ball from Leeks midfield. Josh Nadin, Harry Byrne,Tyler Heath and Sam heath had their hands full in stopping a quick opposition with some brave tagging. Isabella Holland was unlucky not to score after a great run. Sam Heath then levelled for Leek just before Half time.

Second half Leek made some changes and it was not long before Leek took the lead again through Noah Reaney. The game was very close with Congleton coming back at Leek with tries of equal quality. Lewis Sale showed some of his hidden talents and produced a brilliant run resulting in his first try. Congleton would not give in and kept levelling Leek’s scores. Josh Nadin and Tyler Heath put in two more tries for Leek. Josh Nadin, Joseph Meakin, Noah Reaney and Sam Heath produced a fantastic display of tagging which crumbled the Cheshire teams attack. Noah Reaney scored two quick tries to take his personal tally to four. Leek put the game out of sight with another powerhouse try from Tyler Heath.

Final score. Leek 9. Congleton 6.

Game 2.
Leek bought on newcomers for the second game. Congleton still sore after game 1 were quick to spot the changes and took two early tries. Coach Reano organised a plan. With Noah Reaney resting, Lewis Sale opened for Leek with a darting run down the touchline to score.
Joe Futcher, Sam Heath, Theo Bettany and Joseph Meakin gave an excellent tagging performance taking over six tags in a single Congleton attack. Leek slowed the Cheshire teams relentless pressure. Lewis Sale was again on the run to score his second of the half. Joseph Meakin spotted his chance from a loose ball to score from an excellent run. Harry Byrne and Isabella Holland did an amazing amount of running and team play. Lewis Sale showed Congleton his heels again to score his hat-rick.

Second half Noah Reaney came back and quickly scored. Congleton replied through a good passage of play. Leek’s defence tightened up and stood firm, tags from Joe Futcher Joseph Meakin and Tyler Heath made it almost impossible for Congleton. Theo Bettany again put in a superb display only in his second match of the season, and was unlucky not to score. Sam Heath returned to the game to finish the Cheshire set off with yet another Leek try.
