Get ready for a huge afternoon at Leek rugby club as the 1st XV take on Rochdale in Regional 1 North West.
Dale have had a tough start to the season, losing to pre-season promotion favourites Anselmians and Rossendale, as well as Vale of Lune in a tight season opener. But they have scored a lot of tries and secured try bonus points in each game.
Leek did the double over the Lancashire outfit last season. The teams last met in January, the Moorlanders edging a close contest, and they'll be expecting a similar challenge this time around.
Whatever the result, there will be celebrations in the St Edward's Park clubhouse as we enjoy Oktoberfest. The bar will be open from 1.30pm ahead of a 3pm kick-off, and there'll be live post-match music from the Minstrels of Mischief.
So bring your mates, grab a stein and get involved - it’s going to be a great Saturday!
The weekend starts with the Leek Academy taking on Stoke under the St Edward's Park lights on Friday, 16 October. Kick off is at 7.30 with the bar open from 6pm.
On Saturday, our 2nd XV make the long trek to Herefordshire to face Luctonians 3s in a 3pm kick off. Like Leek, the hosts edged Barton by a single point, before losing heavily at Stafford. However, last time out they beat Ashbourne.
Our 3s will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to Knutsford as they face another 1st XV - Wythenshawe. The hosts lost at Marple in their opening game of the season before drawing at Ashton-under-Lyne and losing heavily to Aldwinians.
