The man with ice in his veins, Will Midwinter, is this week's Ken Jervis Kia player of the match. Will calmly slotted the winning penalty with the last kick after a seesaw game in the Papa Johns Community Shield.

Will had been a thorn in the Derby side throughout the game with his jinking runs and quick hands, plus seven successful kicks. He is kindly sponsored by Easyfix.

And for the 2nd XV it was debutant scrum half Jake who took the step up to senior rugby in his stride, looking right at home, scoring a try and being heavily involved throughout in the 2s tussle with Tamworth.
