Last weekend saw another brilliant display across our mini and junior groups, with huge effort, loads of mud and plenty of proud moments! Well done to all our players, coaches and supporters.
Under 16 Girls Lightning - Stafford 0 – Leek 59
Down to 12 through illness but unstoppable on the field. Strong formations, huge effort for each other and total control from start to finish. Massive performance! ⚡?
Under 14 Girls Leek 20 – Lichfield 34
A superb performance against one of Staffordshire’s strongest sides. With only four experienced players at the start of the season, the progress has been incredible.
Tries: Morgan (2), Jess, Emily. Player of the match was Alice for a textbook, full-commitment tackle. Special shout-out to Emma on her first start — excellent display!
Under 12 Girls – Vixens
High-energy session at St Edward's Park working on contact and tackling before a fierce inter-team game. The red team edged it, but every player gave everything — and finished absolutely covered in mud!
Under 14 Boys – Claws
Cup rugby at its best! A physically tough match dominated by the forwards, with Claws defending heroically. Heartbreak at the end with a last-minute try disallowed in a 15–12 loss, but huge character shown throughout.
Under 10s – Titans
A brilliant morning! The girls headed to Chester for a girls-only festival, while the boys joined Sandbach for a joint training and mixed match - great for building confidence, especially in the tackle.
Under 9s
Two Leek teams travelled to Sandbach for a triangular fixture with strong opposition. Despite the wet and windy conditions the rugby quality was excellent - sharp handling and big defensive sets all morning.
Under 7s
Hosted Sandbach at St Edward’s Park and had an excellent (and very muddy!) morning. Loads of improvement each week, great teamwork and big smiles all round. Thanks to all parents for braving the weather!
