Tonight's Friday night lights match to kick off the new season sees the debut of a new look Leek Academy team, in a first pre-season game against local rivals Stoke.

With a combination of senior colts eager to get back to action after some strong performances last year and players new to this level, it's an exciting test to begin the new season.

The games provides a great opportunity for players to try new moves and calls while providing an opportunity for the coaches to test out new combinations.

The side is captained by number 7 Rhys, who showed some real strong performances and leadership last season. Rhys is kindly sponsored by EDJ Stairlift Services.
