Under 18 girls start with a fine win

Leek welcomed Burton with both teams missing players who were trialling at Loughborough Centre of Excellence. Leek started slowly and struggled to get their game plan on track. Both sides scored but then Leek started to win quality ball to allow their new back line to show their skills. The forwards began to set up phased ball followed by excellent support passing drawing Burton's defence in. Quick ball enabled the backs to score a number of tries despite some sterling work by the talented Burton full back. The second half saw Leek produce some amazing off loading and support play with backs and forwards interconnecting. Burton never gave up and, after a long period on our 5 metre line scored a good try.
A very good start by our girls and welcome back to our 3 girls from last year's Under 15's.
