Leek welcomed Lutterworth with both sides producing a belter of a game. Leek started quickly with good forward phases enabling Dunny to crash over for the opener with Holly converting. Lutterworth came back strongly and their quick full back scored under the posts followed by another goal. Leek lost 2 of their starting front row players and Lutterworth took advantage of this winning the scrums at will. Jenny weighed in with a brace but further scores from Lutterworth gave them the half time lead. Positive half time words were spoken and the girls responded controlling most of the second half scoring at regular intervals. Our scrum and lineout was now at full song and quality ball was the way forward. Lutterworth kept pace with our scoring until Holly pounced on a loose ball and kicked on to score the winner. Abby was brilliant all day also scoring a brace. Abby and Kyra were our Man of the Match but the real winner again was girls rugby with both teams giving everything producing a highly entertaining game of rugby. A massive thank you to all the Lutterworth players, coaches and supporters for playing their part in a fine afternoon of rugby.
