Leek Under 15 girls 47 Winnington/Widnes Under 15 girls 31

Leek welcomed Winnington and Widnes in a 3 way tournament. Leek played a strong Winnington side and played good structured rugby from the start. Holly opened the scoring with a typical break with Izzy scoring another. Morgan bagged a hat trick after good ball retention by Leek enabling her to show her pace. Holly converted 4 of the 5 trys to give a final score of 33-5.
Leek then played a fresh Widnes team of high quality. The girls were tired compared to the strong running Widnes team who scored 3 trys with Holly replying. Leek got into the game eventually and Morgan scored under the posts for Holly to convert.
We have many players unavailable for this game and only fielded 13 of our own players. This was a great effort by the girls who will welcome back the unavailable players next week.
