Great day of sevens rugby for Under 15 girls

Leek entered 2 equal ability teams and travelled to Old Halesowenians to play a sevens tournament. 10 Under 15 teams entered setting up some very entertaining matches. Overall our teams won 6 games and lost 4 against very strong opposition. The girls learnt some important lessons in quick support and off loading and soon got into their stride. Special mentions for the following, Holly Hartley-scored 2 brilliant trys and looked dangerous, Abbey Weston-scored her 1st try for Leek, Shannon- scored 2 trys and now getting her confidence back, Maddie- bulldozing runs, Dunny-outpacing the opposition to score twice, Jenny- running the game and scoring at will, India- scored a try and made ground on every run, Izzy- Played despite being ill but still scored a hat full of trys, Holly-scored loads of trys and made her debut at prop, Sammy-top support play and performance, Abby Taffe- great trys and tackling, Keira-great runs and top scrum half, Lottie-smashed opposition all day long, Danielle-back at prop and pushed the opposition back every time, and Ava who had a stormer before she got injured
