Leek Under 15 girls loose against top side

Leek travelled to Worcester for their biggest test of the season by far. Having played the game, I would say Worcester are in the top 10 teams in the country at Under 15.
We had a good warm up but Worcester got into their stride very quickly and their quick backs scored early trys. Jenny, Morgan and Holly again had to do most of the defensive work and unfortunately we turned in a first half performance on the same level as the recent Burton game. The coaches said at half time to forget the first half and the result and try to win the second half. The girls rose to the challenge magnificently, having a strong 15 minute spell pinning Worcester deep in their own half. All the girls raised their game but Worcester have an excellent defence, stopping Leek from scoring for the first time in 2 seasons.
All the girls and coaches will learn a lot from the game and experience. We are still a team of little experience and I thank the girls for their efforts so far this season.
