Leek Under 15 girls win again in the cup

Leek travelled to Burton in the latest round of the National cup Under 15 competition. Leek started quickly with trys from Jenny and Grace with Holly converting one. Burton then came back with two unconverted trys of their own. Holly and Morgan then scored, with one being converted, only for Burton to reply to give a half time score of 15-24 to Leek. Burton came out stronger in the 2nd half with an early score. Morgan and Jenny(2) both scored again with Burton replying. Holly crashed over for her second try which she converted. Danielle scored a brilliant No8 pick up and go from 30 yards and literally carried some of the Burton defence over the line.
The final score was 25-51 to Leek but it did not tell the whole story. With lack of structure, poor ball retention and rucking to high the game never seamed save. Burton never give up and have some high quality players. Plenty of work to do on the training pitch girls. Morgan won the man of the match followed by captain Jenny.
