Two out of three ain't bad for Lightning U12s

Leek Lightning U12s travelled to Stafford for a celebration festival of Staffordshire rugby.

A tough opening draw against a strong Burton side made for a slow start but the girls dug deep, narrowly losing 20-15.

The girls were fired up for their next match and showed how much they have improved throughout the season with 40-0 win over Stoke. The final match of the festival was a great game against Stafford. This was the Lightning's best game of the day, which they won 30-15.

A great end to the U12 season which showed how far these players have come. The future of girls rugby in Leek is bright.
