True grit from 3 Shires girls

Leek U14 girls put on a gutsy display in a combined team, losing 47-17 to a strong Burton squad.

Leek combined with players from Longton, Buxton and Congleton to form the 3 Shires u14s Girls team (3S).

3S had a slow start, taking time to adjust to the new structure, and despitesome good individual tackles and plays Burton took an early lead.

3S got fired up and started to get stuck in and some amazing play from all the girls resulted in a try from Ruby. Half time score 05-19

The second half saw a more confident team come out, with Burton just managing to hold up one try before Brooke scored and Celia converted.

Burton followed up despite some tough defensive moves from 3S. The final 17-47 score was disappointing for 3S but the girls showed true grit.
