Three senior teams in action, full junior and girls programme and beer festival this weekend

It’s a busy weekend ahead at Leek RUFC with all three senior sides in action on Saturday, a full mini, junior and girls programme on Sunday and our annual BEER FESTIVAL all weekend.

Our 1st XV welcome Leicestershire side Oadby Wyggestonians on Saturday for what will be the first ever tie between the two clubs.

Coach Joel Booth is able to name a starting XV made up entirely of former Leek Mini & Junior players and it’s sure to be a cracking game as one the league’s best attacks comes up against Leek’s league-leading defence.

Our 2nd XV name a dynamic and powerful side to take on familiar foe Sandbach in what should be a great game of rugby.

And our 3rd XV take a healthy squad with a few debutants down to Wigginton Park to face Tamworth.

Running throughout the weekend will be our Beer Festival with ten cask ales available amongst a full bar, hot food and drink and what should be a vibrant atmosphere at the club.

The festival kicks off tonight (Friday) at 6pm with the England vs USA World Cup game on the big screens at 7pm.

The clubhouse opens again on Saturday at 12:30 as we build towards the 1st XV game which will be followed by England vs South Africa in the final Autumn Nations Series fixture and on long into the evening.

Then to round off a morning of junior and girls rugby the beer festival will kick back in on Sunday from midday.

With so much to look forward to, we hope to see as many of you down at the club as possible.

Finally, a thank you to our matchday sponsors Taylormade Landscapes and Garden Machinery and our beer sponsors for their kind support.
